When boxing I get bloody inbetween the pinkie and index finger?
Ive been punching a heavy bag with regular mma ufc style gloves.I do all kinds of punches and every time inbetween the pinkie and index finger it gets red the skin kinds of rubs off but no external blood.How should I prevent it when punching.Could I be punching wrong or is there somthing i need to go on my fingers,like cloth or whatever.

Would a downtube 'friction' gear shifter be compatible with an 'indexed' front deraileur?
I'm basically looking for a cheap way to get my shifting system functioning again, and lacking the financial wherewithal to shell out for a new set of Shimano 105 STi levers I thought it might be possible to simply install a downtube shifter for my front deraileur Shimano 105, double chainring . The issue is that my STi lever performed indexed shifting, whereas I believe most downtube front shifters operate friction shifting. If anyone has any advice about compatibility, or anything else for that matter, then I'd appreciate it

On a golf scorecard there are numbers next to each hole (stroke index and hole index) what do they mean?
We are trying to work out how to play stableford.One number I think it is called hole index is a number out of 18, each hole has a different number.Stroke index makes absolutely no sense to me.I'm in Australia in case that makes any difference.There's two lots of numbers.1 lot is out of 18The other has numbers like 19 36,this is called the stroke index.

Will a bicycle derailleur listed as 8-speed work properly with a 7-speed cassette and indexed dowtube shifters?
The drive train is all lower end Shimano 7 speed and needs to be replaced. I have found replacements for everything but the derailleur. The only ones i find say 8 speed. Will it work?

I can't punch with my first two knuckles without it hurting my index and thumb.?
I've always been like this ever since I can remember. When I make a fist my pointer finger sticks out more and all my other fingers are flat. This makes it so if I punch with my first two knuckles I have to bend my wrist downwards at a ridiculous angle. However, punching with my last three knuckles has always felt more comfy but everyone keeps telling me to punch with first two knuckles ALWAYS. Also, when I hit with first two knuckles the impact from my index hurts my thumb even though it ISN'T rolled inside my hand. It's on the outside over my index finger but it still hurts from the impact when I punch. Could you tell me if I should use my last three knuckles or any different ways how I could improve punching with my first two knuckles.

Is it ok to use your index finger on the grip for tennis?
I have been playing tennis for 2 and a half years and have always played with my index finger on the grip for groundstrokes instead of the usual continental grip. On serves, volleys, and back hands I use the regular grip but I have always used the index finger on the forehand. It has never caused me any problems and I've played in countless tournaments with this. I've never told anyone and no one has ever noticed that I know of . I am now wondering because I only see players use the regular grip. I have seen a professional coach use this grip but no one else. I'm just wondering if it is ok to still use or will I have to change the grip? I have never encountered any problems with using this grip.
